Laser-cutting polypropylene

Polypropylene

Polypropylene has some great qualities. It’s strong, hard and is resistant to bacterial growth. This makes it highly suitable for industries where hygiene is important, for example, the healthcare industry. Furthermore, polypropylene is highly resistant to heat, making it suitable for use in cleaning and pasteurizing products. It also has low moisture absorption capabilities, at a maximum of 0,1%. Finally, polypropylene is fully recyclable.

Polypropylene is a lot like PE (polyethylene). They are both within the same price range, however, polypropylene is a lot stronger than polyethylene. Polypropylene is also quite similar to HDPE (High-density Polyethylene). Polypropylene can withstand higher temperatures than HDPE.
